Introductions

It's a sunny Saturday afternoon in Camarillo, California. Maybe I'm being a little redundant because it's always sunny in California. At least I think so. I've only been here a week.

Lets back up for a minute. I was born and raised in Connecticut, went to college in Boston, and have just recently moved out to the West Coast to intern at a large commercial space company called Virgin Galactic. This move was big for me because up until a year ago the furthest west I had ever been was Texas. So, being a newcomer to this very different part of the country I've decided to start In Transit to describe some of the travels, foods, readings, and East Coast impressions of my post grad life out west. (Seriously, why do they put "The" in front of all of their highway names? Back home I-84 is "84" and I-95 is "95". Saying "The 405" is just weird.)

One of the benefits of moving somewhere so different than what you're used to is that every day is full of new experiences waiting to be had. Combine this with my love of writing and I'm sure it won't be difficult at all to come up with entertaining stories to tell. I've already begun my quest for the best fish taco in LA and be sure to keep an eye out for a post about my inevitable first trip to Yosemite. It's going to be legen - wait for it ...dary!

I hope you enjoy reading In Transit, because I'm definitely going to enjoy writing it.
